Aldeia mata verde Bonita

A ferocious and small indigenous tribe known as Aldeia Mata Verde Bonita lives in a secluded section of Ino, Maricá in Rio de Janeiro. A community that brings together young and elderly to fight for the future of their village. Some tribal members contracted the COVID virus during the epidemic, and supplies were short, so they had to make do with what they had. The epidemic had a significant impact on their educational experiences, including inadequate government financing. Students fell behind and missed an entire year of school. As a result, the majority of them had to redo their academic year to catch up on lost material. Despite this, they all maintained their faith and worked together to survive the upheaval.

Every morning, they thank God for everything they have: family, a house, and resources. To honor their ancestors, they sing and dance to ancient melodies. We were all able to engage in their regular activities as well! A few of us took part in the relay race.

Nature was one of the most wonderful aspects of my experience. There were many different varieties of flowers and plants all across the land, and the grass was quite green. It was really relaxing to go around the area and observe a beautiful river while listening to the silence. We're used to construction noises and music every morning because we're from big cities. We might not always appreciate the peace and quiet that we have, but this land allowed us to reflect on what we had learned about their culture.
